The GMC Yukon has long been a staple of the GMC lineup, offering a den’s level of comfort and space in its cabin. From busy families to friend groups and professionals transporting important clientele, many groups have turned to the GMC Yukon when having the best passenger experience is non-negotiable and when behind-the-wheel feel has to be optimal.

As a GMC dealer, we’re excited to bring the all-new 2025 Yukon to our customers. GMC really upped the ante this year, delivering tons of premium features and materials standard and many more made available, as well as an all-new luxe off-road trim. We can’t wait to show it off! In the meantime, let’s take a peek at some of the updates for the 2025 Yukon.

A Massive Redesigned Command Center

When it comes to touchscreens, bigger is better. Bigger screens mean being able to see the next instruction in the navigation quicker, without looking twice. It means easily seeing the name of the incoming caller (and deciding whether or not you want to pick up). There are many reasons to appreciate a massive infotainment screen, so we suspect that drivers are going to love the new and exceptionally large 16.8-inch Premium GMC Infotainment Center.

Offering more screen space than some laptops, this infotainment touchscreen makes life on the road easier and more streamlined. Plus, it has a vertical interface and allows drivers to easily customize what they see on the screen, whether that’s playlist info, maps, or etcetera. Step into the next generation of infotainment screens with the 2025 Yukon.

An All-New Trim That’s Powerful and Pretty

For the 2025 model year, GMC is excited to introduce a new trim: the AT4 Ultimate. You already knew about the standard AT4, an off-road-oriented option; the AT4 Ultimate combines off-road-ready features with luxury perks that make it a dream vehicle for drivers who like to travel to some rough, bumpy, and messy destinations but who want to do so in the best possible style and comfort.

The AT4 Ultimate gives you a front skid plate to protect its underbody, as well as massive 20-inch wheels for rolling over uneven terrain. Speaking of which, it rides on all-terrain tires with deep grooves ready to channel away dirt, rocks, sand, and more. Incredibly, its four-corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension gives you the option to increase the height of the vehicle by up to two inches! This way, you can get better ground clearance when the roads get rough, or you can get better aerodynamics for improved fuel economy when you’re on city streets and highways.

On the inside, you’ll really see how this trim earned the word “Ultimate,” having borrowed it from the super-luxe Denali Ultimate. It has full-grain leather seating, real wood accents, and even leather rim accents on the steering wheel. It’s a real sight to take in and will be the perfect place to relax after a long day of dirt biking, hiking, or whichever activity you enjoy, thanks to the off-road possibilities of this trim.

An Exciting New Engine Option

The Yukon already enjoyed the option of a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine in the 2024 model. However, for 2025, GMC is making this an option for the AT4 for the first time, as well as for the new AT4 Ultimate. It’s a natural decision, given the impressive towing powers combined with the great fuel economy of this engine.

Those are two features that any off-road warrior will appreciate. They need a vehicle that’s efficient on fuel to get to those remote destinations and one that can tow an RV or boat to their destination. With output boosted from 277 hp to 305 hp and torque from 460 lb-ft to 495 lb-ft, this engine is ready to meet your demands for power and acceleration when you’re towing, going uphill, accelerating, and more.

More Comfort for Rear Passengers

If you regularly make use of the rear seats of your Yukon, then you can give your passengers the newly available 8-inch rear climate control touchscreen. It allows those second-row passengers to control their comfort easier—and that means you can focus on the road, rather than responding to backseat requests that you turn up the AC or the heat. And you don’t need to agree on a vehicle-wide temperature!

Also new for not just the Yukon but GMC vehicles as a whole are 16-way power, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, as well as the second-row seats as captain’s chairs. If you spend a lot of time in your vehicle and want to keep everyone so happy that they won’t want to get out when the time comes, you’re going to love these upgrades.

Additional Driver Assistance Features

The Yukon has always had a reputation for safety, and GMC builds on that in the 2025 model with more standard and available driver assistance features. One of these is front pedestrian and bicyclist braking. A terrific feature for those who often drive in suburbs or cities, this feature can detect a person on foot or on a bicycle in front of your vehicle and alert you to their presence, as well as activate the brakes if you fail to do so in time. The new side bicyclist alert can even detect cyclists on either side of your vehicle and alert you to their presence.

Also new is rear cross-traffic braking. When the vehicle senses another vehicle approaching your rear while you’re moving in reverse, if you fail to hit the brakes in time, it will automatically activate the brakes for you. Likewise, when you’re entering an intersection, new intersection automatic emergency braking can apply the brakes when necessary to avoid a collision. If you spend a lot of time on busy streets, where you encounter a variety of hazards—including other vehicles, people walking their dogs, people out for a bike ride, or kids playing—you’ll have more peace of mind with these new features.
