Recently purchased a 2025 GMC 1500 and the process went very smoothly. My salesperson, Victor was a true professional and recommend asking for him if you are in the market for a new GMC. The Sales Manager was very helpful with a minor repair that was needed after purchasing. I also worked with their Service Manager, and he is top notch. Very attentive and took care of all the issues. Best experience I’ve ever had at any dealership. Even after delivery of my truck I had ordered a bed mat that was delivered to the dealership. I picked it up only to get home and opened the box to find they gave me the wrong item. I called and they confirmed it. Rather than me having to make another 2 hour round trip to get my mat, they sent one of their drivers to deliver it to me and pick up the wrong item. They have been great to work with.

I waited for about five minutes with no acknowledgment, despite the place being quiet. It felt disorganized and dismissive, especially considering I had booked ahead. The lack of urgency and clear communication made for a frustrating and disappointing experience.

I purchased a new GMC Canyon in late Nov 2024 at Jim Ellis GMC at the Mall of GA. The experience before purchasing, while purchasing and after the purchase was exceptionally great. Richard (sales manager) and Craig instantly responded to any question that I had and went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy about the whole experience. I am retired and I have bought vehicles from many dealers in my lifetime, but I have never encountered a dealership that is this responsive to customer request and dedicated to customer satisfaction. I drove from Nashville TN to Buford GA because of the fantastic discount offered on the truck and never expected that I would also find a dealership that employed people that made customer satisfaction their priority. Hats off to Richard and Craig and all of the folks at Jim Ellis Buick GMC at the Mall of GA.

The Jim Ellis experience was phenomenal. After several months of working through them for a GM warranty issue that Tom and Nick in service just couldn’t resolve- GM parts supply problem- I had no choice but to purchase a vehicle. Chris; my sales guy, heard exactly what I was up against and helped me find a great new car. With everyone there at the MOG location- I finally had a vehicle after 6 long months of a GM nightmare. Can not believe they would not take employee
Can not believe they would not take employee friends/family code we recent form a friend of ours. That is ridiculous, also the price you have on the car should be the actual price of the vehicle not to find out after that you fraudulently charge $10,000 more for whatever you decided to add to vehicle paint (xx) whatever else. That should be left up to the customer and fully stated on price tag on vehicle. That is sneaky and undermining. Snacks would be nice for diabetics over 2 hrs to get things done

Despite my multiple attempts, calls, and messages they still do nothing and continue to be associated with the wrong account. So this is a clear message that they need to do something about it.

Service here was nothing short of amazing. I got in, they took the truck, I told them I would wait for the repair, they showed me the waiting room area and where coffee and drinks are. They said may take 4hrs, was done in 2hrs. Got my keys and off we went. I came here after a horrible experience at Rick Hendrick GMC in Duluth where they cant even return phone calls let alone say a part is on back order and somehow Jim Ellis had it in 1day.

Would give 5 stars had not driven two hrs to dealership
Would give 5 stars had not driven two hrs to dealership for ac stop working and a transmission shutter in my acadia denali. All I expected covered under the 5 ur extended warranty. The the guy in service checking my car in. Told me my warranty expired yr ago. I boougjt the car in july 2020. Not 2019. Now car is a 19. We didn't buy it in 19. Was told day of purchase warranty starts the moment we signed papers. Car was new. Had 1200 miles on it. Sticker on dash. We drove 2 hrs to dealer after seeing Ellis add with good deal on the car. Someone made mistake of ordering 49 of same color and package acadia so, had to get them off the lot. We bought the last one. Sales told us someone was buying it but didn't work out. Credit? Or didn't like ot idk.. now day I took it in, service rep would not look at my contract. Just the screen. Called warranty company.. same stpry....expired. my Allstars interior leather warranty was still active. Oil change was covered. Weird.. I was very frustrated and angry enough to take car across the street to buy a Honda. And I am a gm employee..only person that would look at my papers and actually see no way anyone would speend 2000.00 for an extra yr after th 3 yr gm gives on every vehicle. A mistake was made. He was.nice. never said a mistake was made but, he looked and listened. Told me to call dealer manager. Two days later finally got in touch with him said he would look me up and see what happened. I told him I was mislead and or plain lied too about that warranty. He called me back told me to bring the car back. He and service manager both on the phone. Another 2 r trip different service rep greeted me. Met service manager. Both very nice. Warranted all information on things with car that had issues with. Had a dealer loaner car waiting for me and back home. Sorry about the long story here but I felt it needed to be told to understand my review. I was getting text and calls from service about status of car. Tech videos with tech telling me about the car. Just a few days car was ready. They had to remove trans and take apart to change trans filter. New torque convertor, new trans fluid, ac was fixed. New thermostat and housing and temp sensor as well as refrigerent. Compressor shuts off if temp sensor doesn't send proper informational to computer fans run high and only shuts off when engine is shut off.. Or if thermostat is stuck open.some kind of protection . There was an issue with rear ac part I did not know about. Very expensive. I had oil changed and brake libe flush. I paid for that. Dealership took care of everything else. Everything! Ac works great and shutter, drove so good back up that interstate. Felt like brand new again. My wife loves that car. I am glad I called the manager instead of going across the street to get a honda. Lol. I didn't see him at all. Hope he sees this review. Would have loved to tell him thank you. To the second service rep and service manager......thank yall very much. I have purchased many many new cars in my life from athens to Nashville tn. Always a service department issue right. Heard many people complain about having problems. Was told day of purchase warranty starts the moment we signed papers. Car was new. Had 1200 miles on it. Sticker on dash. We drove 2 hrs to dealer after seeing Ellis add with good deal on the car. Someone made mistake of ordering 49 of same color and package acadia so, had to get them off the lot. We bought the last one. Sales told us someone was buying it but didn't work out. Credit? Or didn't like ot idk.. now day I took it in, service rep would not look at my contract. Just the screen. Called warranty company.. same stpry....expired. my Allstars interior leather warranty was still active. Oil change was covered. Weird.. I was very frustrated and angry enough to take car across the street to buy a Honda. And I am a gm employee..only person that would look at my papers and actually see no way anyone would speend 2000.00 for an extra yr after th 3 yr gm gives on every vehicle. A mistake was made. He was.nice. never said a mistake was made but, he looked and listened. Told me to call dealer manager. Two days later finally got in touch with him said he would look me up and see what happened. I told him I was mislead and or plain lied too about that warranty. He called me back told me to bring the car back. He and service manager both on the phone. Another 2 r trip different service rep greeted me. Met service manager. Both very nice. Warranted all information on things with car that had issues with. Had a dealer loaner car waiting for me and back home. Sorry about the long story here but I felt it needed to be told to understand my review. I was getting text and calls from service about status of car. Tech videos with tech telling me about the car. Just a few days car was ready. They had to remove trans and take apart to change trans filter. New torque convertor, new trans fluid, ac was fixed. New thermostat and housing and temp sensor as well as refrigerent. Compressor shuts off if temp sensor doesn't send proper informational to computer fans run high and only shuts off when engine is shut off.. Or if thermostat is stuck open.some kind of protection . There was an issue with rear ac part I did not know about. Very expensive. I had oil changed and brake libe flush. I paid for that. Dealership took care of everything else. Everything! Ac works great and shutter, drove so good back up that interstate. Felt like brand new again. My wife loves that car. I am glad I called the manager instead of going across the street to get a honda. Lol. I didn't see him at all. Hope he sees this review. Would have loved to tell him thank you. To the second service rep and service manager......thank yall very much. I have purchased many many new cars in my life from athens to Nashville tn. Always a service department issue right. Heard many people complain about having problems. Service here was nothing short of amazing.
Service here was nothing short of amazing. I got in, they took the truck, I told them I would wait for the repair, they showed me the waiting room area and where coffee and drinks are. They said may take 4hrs, was done in 2hrs. Got my keys and off we went. I came here after a horrible experience at Rick Hendrick GMC in Duluth where they cant even return phone calls let alone say a part is on back order and somehow Jim Ellis had it in 1day.

Best experience I’ve ever had at any dealership. Even after delivery of my truck I had ordered a bed mat that was delivered to the dealership. I picked it up only to get home and opened the box to find they gave me the wrong item. I called and they confirmed it. Rather than me having to make another 2 hour round trip to get my mat, they sent one of their drivers to deliver it to me and pick up the wrong item. They have been great to work with.

Car buying nightmare!
I am extremely DISAPPOINTED WITH MY SALES PERSON RICHARD NOURIE. I purchased a 2017 Yukon from Richard on Friday 7/21. At that time I traded in my 2012 Tahoe. Everything leading up to Friday went smoothly. Richard had even set the Yukon aside so it would be available when I arrived. Fast forward to today (3 days later), I called Richard to tell him my brother-in-law wanted to buy the Tahoe I had traded in. He informed me the vehicle was in the service department and that he would forward me the report once he had it. I never heard back from his during the day so I reached out to him later in the evening. At that point he told me that he had left the dealership to deliver a car to Kennesaw and simply forgot to set the vehicle aside for me. When he returned to the vehicle, another buyer was test driving the Tahoe and ended up buying it right out from under us! Richard Nourie dropped the ball, and offered no apologies! This is the second time I've dealt with Jim Ellis. The first time in Chamblee was miserable. This time in Buford started good, but ended horribly! I will absolutely NOT being doing any further business with Jim Ellis. Too many players in the car-buying game!

I bought my first vehicle from Jim Ellis on Thursday, July 13. I had initially called the dealership about it the week before, Friday, July 7. From the initial inquiry I made, to the moment that I went to pick my vehicle up, I can't express the amazing way that I was treated through the entirety of the process. Between Rebecca Tipton, Richard Nourie, and Amanda Ragsdale, it was the best purchasing experience I think that I could have ever had. They welcomed me hospitably, treated me courteously, and the professionalism with which I was treated as a customer is seldom seen in many a purchasing atmosphere. I am pleased, and satisfied, with the treatment, and the contact they used to make sure that they could put me in the vehicle that I wanted. They are all certainly worth recommending.
