When you walk through our doors, you can expect to be treated like part of the family, and we would never let our family drive off in something we ourselves would not drive. To get you started, here's what to expect from each SUV in Buick’s lineup.
The modern Buick lineup is composed entirely of premium SUV models. From smallest to largest, they are the Encore GX, the Envision, and the Enclave.
The Encore GX is a subcompact crossover SUV that comes in three trim levels: the base Preferred, the mid-tier Select, and the line-topping Essence. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available for superior traction in bad weather. Opting for all-wheel drive only takes the fuel economy down a couple of miles per gallon and is still better than what you get from a lot of luxury SUVs.
The Encore GX comes with numerous driver-assistance features across the lineup. You can enjoy technologies like Automatic Emergency Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. There are more options to upgrade, adding even more features that can help keep you safe while on the road.
Technology is also impressive in the Encore GX. A lengthy OnStar and Connected Services Plan is standard, as is a Buick Infotainment System complete with an appropriately sized touchscreen display. There is an option to upgrade to a system with built-in navigation. In the back of the center console, there are several USB charging ports for your passengers. HD Radio is available, as is SiriusXM compatibility, giving you options for what you get to listen to while you drive. Of course, you can always stream audio or make hands-free phone calls using standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The compact Buick Envision now features the line-topping Avenir trim level that delivers luxury in droves. All trim levels come with a standard turbocharged engine that has a start/stop system that can be disabled if you do not want it. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is available, and there are plenty of mechanical features that help to create a smooth and easy-going ride quality.
Entering and starting the vehicle is easy, thanks to the keyless start and push-button ignition. If you want to do some trailering, you can add a trailer hitch that comes with a custom-made Trailer Hitch Trim Bezel. The dealer-installed hitch is mounted onto the vehicle’s frame. Every trim level comes with a connector for the accessory wiring harness.
The Envision has a finely crafted interior with plenty of features that can make the daily commute a whole lot easier. The rear 60/40-split folding seat provides plenty of space for a couple of adults or three children and is quite comfortable for longer trips. The front seats are well-sculpted and have enough bolstering to keep you locked in place as you take tight turns. Controls are placed well within your reach, with many mounted onto the steering wheel.
Powered by a beefy V6 engine, the three-row Buick Enclave is strong and capable. This model also comes with the flagship Avenir trim level, but all of the available trim levels feel incredibly luxurious. Again, front-wheel drive is the standard option on the Enclave, and the vehicle delivers a respectable fuel economy that bests many of its rivals.
The chassis comes with a real-time damping suspension. This type of suspension helps you shift seamlessly between different road conditions. Sport mode is available, which makes the driving performance feel even more responsive than when you have it in Normal mode. In the rear, there is a dual-outlet stainless-steel exhaust system, and there are a number of different wheel sizes and styles available for the Enclave.
Deep-tinted glass is standard, giving you plenty of privacy no matter where you are sitting. Another cool––and handy––feature is the hands-free power programmable liftgate with LED logo projection when you turn on the lights. In fact, there are LED lights up front, and with the Avenir trim, you get special Avenir headlamps. The Avenir also comes with a standard moonroof that is optional on the lower trim levels. All in all, you get a high degree of style without the vehicle looking too flashy.
There are a few highlights worth talking about for the 2024 model year. From the revised Encore GX to the debut of the new Envista, Buick has some big changes happening.
Buick revised the 2024 Encore GX with updated styling to make this subcompact SUV even more attractive. The Encore GX joined the lineup in 2020, which made it due for a mid-cycle refresh in 2024. For the new model year, the Encore GX gained a line-topping Avenir trim level, which is now available on every Buick model.
The lowered front grille helps distinguish the 2024 Encore GX from the outgoing 2023 model. On the Avenir trim, you will find a jeweled chrome mesh front grille. This trim also has clear LED tail lights that give a more premium aesthetic than the Encore GX ST. The interior was updated as well with a fresh Virtual Cockpit System that includes an eight-inch driver information display and an 11-inch center touchscreen. This system lets you customize how you view important information, moving things around as needed.
Big news for 2024 is the debut of the Buick Envista. This entry-level crossover essentially replaces the old Buick Encore, providing a more stylish design. Equipped with standard front-wheel drive, the Envista is 11 inches longer than the Encore and is about three inches lower to the ground, giving it a much sportier look.
Under the hood is a 1.2L turbocharged three-cylinder engine that generates 136 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque. It is estimated that this engine will net the Envista 28 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. There is a slew standard of driver-assist features, including six active systems that are included as part of the Buick Driver Confidence package. Lane Keep Assist is among the standard features, and there are options for upgrades, such as Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
